Happy Sunday! We hope everyone had a good (and safe) St. Patrick's Day. We posted this yesterday on our Facebook page, and we figured we'd extend the freebies to one more day:
"Come to BOTH by the end of the night with the answer to this trivia question for a FREE prize: Which historical Queen of England was prescribed marijuana for medical use?"
Remember, BOTH closes on Sundays at 5pm. See you later!

Washington Torn Over I-502
Emotions are running high over Initiative 502, the measure to "remove state-law prohibitions against producing, processing, and selling marijuana" for Washington state residents 21+.
Activists from every corner are speaking out in support (or contempt) of the new Initiative. An organization formed called Patients Against I-502 that aims to highlight the damages that I-502 could do to medical marijuana and its patients. "Legalization should not come," they say, "at the expense of those who use cannabis for medicinal purposes."
NORML, a not-for-profit organization created to support the reform of marijuana lies, wrote an official response to Patients Against I-502. In it, they admit that the wording of the initiative may have some flaws, but any beginning is a great beginning. "At NORML, we support these efforts, even when imperfect, because the greater good achieved by legalization proposals outweighs the imperfect language."
According to Opposing Views, a recent poll was conducted that found 47% of respondents in favor of passing I-502. How do you feel about it?

The GOP and MMJ
With all of the buzz generating over this year's primary election for Republican Presidential candidate, we wanted to share something important to BOTH Collective: how the candidates feel about medicinal cannabis.
In this Huffington Post article, there's a featured slideshow listing the candidates and their opinions on medical marijuana use.
Santorum is in the slideshow too, although he admitted that he doesn't know the medical marijuana laws.
From the article: Without an informed opinion about policy, Santorum defended his argument using personal experience, according to Talking Points Memo. "I went to college too," he said.

Refer a Friend, Get a FREE Gram
Patients: did you know that we have a patient referral program? Tell qualifying friends and family members about us, and make sure they write your name down when they come here their first time. The next time you're at BOTH, mention the referral and pick up a free gram of your choice!
This isn't a freebie as much as it is a sincere thank you. BOTH Collective wouldn't be where it is today if it didn't have a strong foundation built on support from its patients.
We'll see you (and everyone you refer) soon!
