Colorado Supports Medical Marijuana Reclassification

After governors Gregoire and Chaffee filed the petition asking the Federal government to reclassify medical marijuana as Schedule II, other political figures have made statements regarding their support of further legalizing medical marijuana.

In the latest news (click to read the full article), Colorado governor John Hickenlooper has stated that he will file his own petition to reclassify the drug within the state he represents.

From the article:
“This is a good first step, in that it shows that politicians are catching up with the scientific consensus, which is that marijuana has medical value,” said Rob Kampia, executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project. “If it succeeds, federal law will finally acknowledge that fact."
